Arriving at a Goal with Solid Momentum

This is Chloé.
So, I've always had one major goal: Make a palpable difference in the lives of people, who I love—not people that I love, but people in general because people should be loved. Well, it turns out that I met Chloé about three years ago when she and my now-husband, Spencer returned from a study abroad to Jerusalem. Needless to say, our friendship was history. Our first discussion was one a hike up Mount Timpanogos as we contemplated theology and redemption, specifically in the case of mass hatred like Hitler of the Jews and humanity now of Hitler. Later we developed a habit of talking late at night in her car because there was too much to think, and she would always listen. I'll never understand why she loves to hear me talk, but she does, and I love her for it.

Anyway, here is a post she just wrote. And although I do not mean to throw light on my own capacity, which I personally feel is often not what I wish it, I felt as though in a significant way I had arrived when I saw this post.

Read on if you wish.

Dear Natalie Cherie,

You've inspired me.

When I'm stressed, I run around with my head cut off. Traffic feels like it's going to last forever. My breathing feels shallower. My memory blurs. And the agony of the situation never seems to end.

And then I come talk to you for 5 minutes. And it ends up taking 2 hours because I can't get enough of the words that fall from your brain. They hit my heart with solid momentum and send my heart reeling. I spend the next week re-thinking my life goals.
